When there's a problem with Internet or interoffice performance we often look to pick on the backup provider but to date it has not been down to them at all.  The backup processes run very smoothly over limited capacity links.

Software sends you alerts but how often do you read them all?  Having a technical representative call you and explain you have an issue with your last backup set is irreplaceable .I cannot imagine going back to tapes or having to resource the backup checking routine once again with my IT team
