Backup Storage Overview
One of the things that make Databarracks different is our constant investment and belief in the underlying development of our storage technology. In 2006, Databarracks signed a partnership with Equallogic that provides us with the SANs on which we store our customer data.
Each of our SANs is configured in a RAID5 configuration for additional redundancy and then further replicated to a secondary (slave) SAN stored in a separate location within our data centre at Ash in Kent. Our SAN infrastructure gives us the scalability and capacity that we need to manage the high volumes of data and the constant daily changes to it that go on. Unlike other storage infrastructures, Databarracks's has been designed so that we are able to implement and configure Terabytes of new storage to our pool in a matter of minutes, with no interruption of service to our customers. We are able to add or remove storage and run maintenance on our infrastructure with no impact on our customers ability to backup and restore data.
Databarracks are also able to supply Equallogic SANS for use by end users or other online backup service providers.
