Disaster Recovery
Key to any disaster recovery plan for IT continuity is fast recovery of systems and delivery back to the users. Virtual disaster Recovery (VDR) means that recovery of backup data can happen quickly and delivered back to a company and its users in a variety of ways.
With a fully combined managed online backup and virtual disaster recovery service from Databarracks, you don’t need either replacement hardware ready to restore, or an alternate location to host your servers in the event of a disaster. VDR is able to recovery either a single server or your entire IT infrastructure quickly and deliver it to your users along with any application which you business requires.
After your backed up data is restored from our data centre to the VDR environment at a speed of 100Mbps, a VPN connection is made between your systems and our VDR environment which invokes the snapshot of your systems to be tuned on on our virtual environment, acting as if it were part of your network.
Because there are no hardware or configuration compatibility issues to contend with, the invocation process is fast and seamless. The snapshot, which operates as a self-contained and hardware independent virtual machine, functions identical to the original server as soon as it is switched on.
You will be using Databarracks’ hardware and infrastructure as if it were part of your own system structure during the recovery process, though, as recovery is based on your network connection speed, work disruption can be brought down significantly with faster connections.
Your team will be enabled to connect to your entire system hosted at our data centre using Citrix or a Terminal Server to nearly instantly continue working from home or a workplace relocation office.
