Meeting the requirements of regulatory compliance is a source of
confusion, frustration, and increasing expense for
many UK and International businesses.
Key data compliance elements relevant to IT departments include
retention, security, recoverability, transfer and disposal.
There are some 17 different legal requirements
in UK law alone over data retention. Companies
are forced to retain data for anything from 4 days, for ISP

and fines from governing bodies to litigation, and criminal
prosecution.
