Data Archiving

Archiving functionality, otherwise known as BLM (Backup Lifecycle Management), is integrated within the online backup software. BLM is a powerful tool which allows customers to configure the long term storage of data, enabling data management to be controlled easily and quickly as time goes on without incurring spiralling costs for backups.

BLM moves data that is of a certain age or no longer interactive, as part of the daily on-going backup to a long term storage platform. Databarracks archive servers enable customers to replace their reliance on the long term storage of data on tape, and also answer many of the issues faced by companies who have large volumes of old data residing on their systems.
