The role

This is your opportunity to set the agenda for people growth and learning at one of the UK’s most exciting IT managed services provider. As People Development Manager, you’ll have the freedom (and support) to build a culture where everyone is encouraged to learn, share knowledge, and unlock their potential every single day.

You’ll partner directly with leaders, create experiences that spark curiosity and capability, and help us develop the next generation of resilient, high-performing talent. From designing innovative career pathways, to launching leadership programmes and driving digital learning — you’ll be the engine behind how our people learn, develop, and shine.

Why this role matters

In a business where every single person matters, your work will directly shape the trajectory of teams and careers. You’ll empower managers to lead with confidence, inspire colleagues to grow beyond their comfort zones, and drive the kind of engagement that keeps us moving forward.

The frameworks, programmes, and culture you build will fuel the performance, agility, and resilience of Databarracks for years to come. If you want to see your ideas come to life and know you’re making a real difference this is the role for you

The responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the company-wide learning and development strategy.
  • Partner with leaders to identify skills gaps and create targeted development plans.
  • Design and facilitate engaging learning experiences — workshops, coaching, and e-learning.
  • Lead management and leadership development initiatives.
  • Measure learning outcomes and report on the effectiveness of programmes.
  • Manage L&D budgets and external learning partners.
  • Collaborate with HR and Talent to embed learning within performance and talent processes.

The candidate

You’re passionate about people growth and creating lasting impact through learning. You enjoy building relationships, designing creative solutions, and seeing others succeed. You’re equally comfortable delivering a workshop as you are presenting strategy to senior stakeholders.

Above all, you believe learning should be practical, inclusive, and continuous not a one-off event.

Essential skills:

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable learning programmes.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of learning methodologies, digital learning tools, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Ability to translate business goals into learning solutions.
